'Snowman' with CCC

Hi everyone! A very quick post today because 'the hubster' may have called me a wuss because my arm was sore after the flu jab (till I reminded him that I have this done because of him!!!!) LOL but for the past few days I've had a sore throat..streaming eyes ...runny nose and a cough like a donkey.....soooooooo it's either coincidence or it's the bloomin flu jab! so guess what ladies???? I'm moaning even more now hahahaha:) My card today was totally thrown together as you can see I apologise Lorraine...Lorraine chose our theme today which was a snowman/snowmen on your card and I had this digi from Sassy Cheryl already coloured up and I used paper and embossed card and snowflakes that I had lying around in a box and that's about it. I promise I will make a better one soon when I feel up to it but right now I'm going to chill out and watch some tv...TFL and lots of hugglessss Sue xxxxxxxxx

Well Sue, thrown together or not I think this is fab, a great image and lovely complimenting papers and some great die cuts too. Definitely no need to make another one at all. hope you start to feel better soon though, you have the best idea to stay warm and relax.

You chill out girl and maybe even have a hot toddy! You deserve it.

I do think there is a virus making the rounds as DH has had it off and on for about a month now...and achey joints are part of it. I have been much luckier and just had a bit of it.

Your card is so fun and cute. Your Sassy Cheryl image is a cuteipie and I love the embossing folder with those gorgeous snowflakes. Oh yeah...almost forgot...That sleigh die is wonderful!

Thrown together!?? Don't make me laugh...it's a brilliant card Sue. Love the jolly colours, the fabulous embossed snowflakes, the sleigh die cut looks fab and the star, of course, is the brilliant Sassy Cheryl image.

In answer to your question, I have grown to love my SN pencils although, I can't lie, I struggled at first as I expected them to live up to the the hype. I use them in their own right rather than for accentuating shade etc and always use the blending solution with a paper stump. I have tried lots of paper/cardstock too and find that Joanna Sheen's elegance gives a lovely result together with linen texture. I have just bought some Neenah to try. I don't have any other brand to compare them with so I would say they are good value for money and if you don't like them all is not lost. Also I would suggest you get the primary or essentials set to start with. Hope this helps you to make up your mind xx

Hey, you're not a wuss! Lots of folks had a problem with the shot. My allergist had told us to take Tylenol 24 hrs prior to the shot, and the years we've remembered to do that, no problems. You might want to check with your dr. if that would work for you. I LOVE your cute snowy. It so doesn't look 'thrown together'. A darling image, lots of detail (and of course I'm drooling over your sleigh die). Love the sparkle and bright colors too. Hope you feel much better very fast! Hugs & hope the DH is doing good himself. TFS.

Time to put your feet up and let DH take care of you huni! I hate that blooming flu jab and have still got to get myself sorted and down to the GP for mine, am very late for it this year. I always feel rotten after and happy to hear it's not just me. It does not look thrown together, love the embossing on the white square and your snow drops are fabulous! Take care sweetie Karen x

Blimey Sooooz - hasn't this year gone quickly!!! I can remember your last flue jab (as if it was yesterday!!) you do go through it with these jabs, the only good thing about them is that they do help. If you threw this card together, then long may you reign 'cos this is a corker! I love everything about it! Do hope you feel better soon Soooz.

Love to you both and a mwah to Ollie

Great card, Sue! Love the cute image, pretty paper and scrummy embossing! Thanks for joining us this week at Passion for Promarkers! Lisa x
PS Hope you're feeling better soon and that your flu jab does what it's supposed to do - stopping you getting flu instead of giving it to you!

Hi Sue
There's nothing wrong with your terrific card. That embossing is fab!
The donkey cough sounds bad. . . . . and as for Paul Eeyore-t to be ashamed of calling you a wuss lol (couldn't resist that one)
Have got sniffs and sore throat today. . . . . . Just what I need 2 days before the NEC!
Get well soon.

Playing catch up again Sue! I'm sorry you were feeling bad and I hope it wasn't from the flu shot!! I can't believe you call this card as "thrown together" because it doesn't look thrown together!! I love it!! The snowman is so cute, Love the snow embossed white paper, the pattern paper is fabulous and of course I am loving Santa flying through the air with his reindeer. This is an awesome card Sue and you don't need to redo it at all. Feel better soon my friend! Hugs, Brenda
