Polkadoodles Digi Chooseday Challenge

Hi everyone it's time for our challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi Chooseday the design team were asked to make a birthday card for our November challenge and add a candle ..well this fab digital image of Ruby Birthday Cake did just the job! I made an easel card and used Octavia Moonfly Papers and one of the fab Winnie Celebration Sentiments...please pop over and join in the challenge and see what the rest of my teamies have made!!!
It's been a long hard slog these past weeks but we are getting there, 
I have been 'on edge' but I think that's only to be expected but at least no alarms have gone off on his Vad pump it's been working great and I can't believe he doesn't get breathless anymore! it's amazing but he's been through a lot and he's still weak but he managed to have a little walk when I took the 'boys' out the other day and then I popped him back in the car while we all went on the beach to blow the cobwebs away.

Halloween Black/Orange with Sweet Stampin Challenge

Hi everyone it's so great to be back!!! even though it might be a hit and miss for a bit lol! Hubby is home!!!! It has been a long 7 weeks but we finally made it and I know it's early days but I'm over the moon. He's managing his 'man bag' and everything to do with that and his 'drive line' that goes into his tummy very well...his appetite is slowly coming back and I've been trying to tempt him with homemade goodies because he needs to build himself up he's lost so much weight...but after being emotionally and physically drained I'm so happy!!! and the 'boys' are too lol 

Onto my card which is for our 'just for fun' challenge over at Sweet Stampin ...it's an LOTV digi stamp and I love this one he's such a clever and cute wizard! Hi Everyone

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know how hubby is getting on...he came home this weekend on 'hospital leave' and he goes back this evening and fingers crossed he is home for good this Wednesday! It has been a really really long 7 weeks ...lots of tears and anxiety (where's Noah I think I flooded the earth with tears LOL!)  He's still very frail and has lost an enormous amount of weight but the most important thing he is here with me because I know a few of my bloggy friends haven't been so lucky.  So the spare room looks like a hospital at the moment with the amount of medication and dressings required to change his drive line from the machine he now has permanently attached but he has a nice 'man bag' to carry it in and our Granddaughter reckons it needs covering in pink furry material with unicorns on!!!! Thanks to each and every one of you that has sent us cards and well wishes I truly appreciate them all. 

Lots of huggles and I hope I can get back to my crafty room soon!!!

Update on 'the hubster'

Paul was transferred from intensive card and everything was looking up his first day was fine he managed to get up and walk with the physio and they had a pedal for him to use when he was sat in his chair and he managed that.
So next morning I got a call to go over and he didn't look well at all so they said he's being transferred back to intensive care his kidney function is down and they are going to put him back on dialysis. So I went over with them and he just looked awful so I was sent to the relatives room while they were putting him back on the machine and chatting to another woman about her husband and then more relatives came in..and one said Oh we've been sent in here there is an emergency and the crash team are working on someone...and I thought oh what a shame because a lovely Irishman had died the previous day 😞 little did I know until the Doctor came and asked to speak to me that it was Paul that was the 'emergency' his heart had stopped and he had been rushed back into theatre. I was totally numb ..couldn't speak and just sobbed. Anyway they found that he had 3 litres of blood that had leaked around his heart and it was compressing it so the poor thing has had his chest opened 3 times in total..so my family came to be with me while we waited for him to come back from theatre and now he is back on all the machines he was on when they first operated and back on the ventilator. So god willing this is his road to recovery because I don't think I have anymore tears left to cry and you feel so helpless but I know he's in the best place.

Hi Everyone

Just thought I would update you on what has been going on...you know his operation was delayed because of chest and stomach bug infections...well he finally had his operation after a LOT of cancellations on Tuesday...went down to theatre at 7.15 am said he would be back just after lunch...came back at 6.30 pm I was a nervous wreck!!! let me in to see him when they got all his machines connected..looked like something out of a star wars movie!!! Anyway because they were still messing around with him I thought it best to leave..give him a kiss etc and tottled off to my accomodation...couldn't sleep...my phone went off at 12.30 he's been rushed back to theatre! we will ring you back as soon as possible....so my poor hubby was once again opened up and clots had formed round his heart and blood had collected so he came back around 7 am...I was a total wreck sobbed my heart which actually did me some good...Anyway Wednesday he was stable then he started to go in Ventricular Tacyhacardia and all the bells and buzzers went off I went into panic mood..got asked to leave and they would call me back in asap....three hours later they called me he had settled down again...I mean he has had major surgery and opened up everything again I totally understand but it's hard seeing all this go on..Thursday they started to take him off his deep meds so he could come round a bit...everything was fine he was squeezing  my hand wiggling my toes I was over the moon! then 10 minutes later everything went mad and he looked like he was having a seizure..so I'm off to wait again and the Professor that did his op came diving in I was just numb...so back on deep meds again and onto dialysis machine..just to add to all the others! so Friday..(hope it was Friday because I have NO clue what day it is) started weaning me off his meds he was nodding his head shaking it and they took some tubes out of his mouth but not his breathing one attached to the ventilator although they had turned it down and his breating was going well but he was getting aggravated he wanted it out so they decided 6pm it was coming out ...he went back in Ventricular Tacycardia and it was a no go...so today I patiently await some good news.
