Quiet Day

Hi everyone and a special hello to Rita thanks for following my blog :)  Had a quiet day today..took 'his lordship' out for a walk had lunch and that's basically it..because I did all the housework yesterday, so today was definitely a chill day for me and I hate to say it but it's still bitterly cold out but we've had no snow compared to some that have had lots especially in Northern Ireland, gave my auntie a quick ring to make sure she was okay and they had tons of the white stuff. I will take a travel round your brilliant blogs when I've  finished waffling..made a very quick card today ..I think this old brain has lost the plot with my cards lately..I went to our crafty club on Monday and we laughed from start to finish we all had a brilliant day..it's so nice when everyone helps everyone else or shows them a new technique and some gorgeous Easter cards were made. Well enough of me warbling on hope you are all safe and warm wherever you may be TFL and huge hugglessssssssssssss everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I want to answer your question about your photos as I am completely obsessed with trying to getter better ones myself, but I am nowhere near an expert and I might ramble on if I put it in a post! If you email me I can ramble on as much as I like and you can pick out the bits that might help!! nat@nattycrafts.co.uk

Oh so pretty hun. I do love LOTV, I just dont have enough craft hours in my day to colour up all the lovely images I want :)...

Your question on my blog about the bow maker. I use the Becca Peg Bow maker. Its not really the bow maker rather the CD, with all the styles of bow that are the key I think... Here is a link to her blog so you can drool at some awesome bows :) http://www.amazingpapergrace.com/...Jen xxxx

Hi Sue
Your card is ever so pretty! I love that sweet image.
I also really like the way you have hearts sort of softly on your design paper. Does it come like that or do you stencil them on? They are so very pretty.

I think you were trying to make your photos larger...Once your photo is loaded onto your blog you can hilite the photo and a pop up blue strip lights up just under it. It says small, medium, large, Xlarge. Click on the one you want. I can only chose large as if I take Xlarge, my picture will enlarge off the borders of my post part of my blog and superimpose over the sidebards.
If you google "blogger make photos larger" it tells how to make the Xlarge size fit the columns of your blog so that it fits into the post portion of your screen.
I just changed my current photos from med to large...it does make a little bit of a pdifference. Xlarge looks fab while I am in draft mode but soon as I hit publish...over the columns widths they go. Google does tell how to fix that (how have to click on HTML (top left) and change the autosetting every time you load a photo...it makes my poor head explode to learn something that complicated so I just will change to large.
Hope this helps!

Hi Sue...I just enlarged the photos of the last 2 CCClub cards...I wanted to see how that would work for square cards...worked great and enlarged it by quite a bit.
If you can find my post where I sent Kath and Buddy a thank you card, there are 2 photos of the candy I won...I left them alone and then there is one of the card i made them...I enlarged that one only so you could see the difference in size. Hope that helps.

Thanks Maureen!! and to answer your question about the hearts ..its actually whats leftover when you pop sequins out ..it acts like a stencil and I just go over it with distress inks ..you might find them at a store that sells ribbons if not just let me know and I'll send you some hun xxxx

gorgeous Sue, hope you have found/figured out what you need to do on blogger now - I regularly get stumped with something or other lol! Next time I go to Hobbycraft I'll have to buy some heart sequin waste - love how you've used that to make a background - never thought of using it for that as I usually use it with friendly plastic - thank you for the inspiration hun! Keep warm and hope you get some crafty time too Karen xx

Whats all this about bloglovin. I leave the scene for a while and come back to lots of blogs with this on. Me thinks I need some more computer skills to keep up with the Jones so to speak.lol.
I do hope you and hubby are both keeping well, or as well as you can be.

Terrific card. I love the wings...oh soooo shiny! I hope the Easter Bunny finds Ollie and brings him many doggie treats. Remind him not to chase the rabbit! Happy Easter! I hope your weather warms soon. Ours has been very nice, however, my allergies are not liking all the blooming that's going on. I'm loving seeing them though! Have a great week!
