Sewing Cuties

Hi all you wonderful peeps! it's so good to be back lol thank you for all your wonderful comments and best wishes for me and hubster. His back is a lot better thank goodness but I'm not allowing him to bend down for anything!!! LOL My card is for my lovely sister-in-law, she always has her sewing machine out, she makes all her own curtains, cushions, bedding she's very handy lol . I haven't put a sentiment on it yet but the penny black stamp I've used was part of some crafty stash I bought off my friend Karen, she has decided to sell all her crafting things :((( which is very sad because she is so talented. I've used lots of snippets so I will be visiting the playground, have missed everyone!  Anyway will be back to visit your fab blogs later TFL and lots of hugglesssssssss Sue xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Sue,
me wonderful little blogging matey.
another super card to add to your collection of fab cards. You always make such really great cards, the colours ,designs, and technics you use in your colouring of those great images are wonderful.
This card is just right for a lady as talented as you say. I just wouldn't know where to start on making
household items. In any rate I can't sew straight for toffee. lol.
Love and Hugs to all especially my Olliekins. So glad you and your DH are feeling a little better.
My darn top of my neck and shoulders are giving me jib again. Mr thinks too much crafting, and blogging. lol. So I try and have a rest now and again.
Lots of crafty love. Fairy Godmother Jenny L.

Oh Sue! This card is wonderful. The image is adorable but I love th whole design of your card!

The sewing diecuts are so perfect on this...I love the sewing machine! And the way you shaded the image is so cool as it creates a feeling of it being matted. I am going to have to try thiis as I have some does that do not have a second larger die to use for an outline shadow. This does the trick so nicely.

Glad to hear Paul is doing better. You are a fabulous carer and methinks that has to do with the speed of his recovery. Of course it will take quite some time to be back to before...but just to be feeling better is a testament to your care!

Oh! My Goodness! Sue where have I been??? .... So sorry, did not realise you were having problems. I do hope you are both much better. Bad enough one being "down" but both, now that`s a problem.
I love this fantastic card, I have a few of these dies and I have never really used them.
Amazing when you visit other Blogs it give so much inspiriration .... thank you for that.
I certainly hope the NEC is better than the Glasgow show. Meeting friends certainly helps make the day.
Happy crafting

This beautiful sewing motif card really struck a cord with me! It's difficult to find stamps that combine my (former) sewing hobby with my (current) stamping hobby. Love all the absolutely perfect elements you've gathered on this sweet card to make such a special card for a family sewer. I will have to hunt down this PB image...don't think I"ve seen it. So sorry to hear your friend is leaving the hobby behind, but lucky you to be the beneficiary of her decision! Wonderful card, TFS & Happy Sunday..hugs

Hi Sue - I love this card (especially as I am a lapsed sewist!! Not a word, but who cares). Apart from the curtains, the last thing I made was a miniature quilt for my dolls' house, along with the rest of the bedding.

Anyway, I digress (or waffle) the image is super on this card as are the dies and of course your colour combi is perfect.

Glad to hear you are both getting better, I am sure Paul will find a little spot to sit down, with Graham, at the NEC so he needn't walk far!!

Big hugs to you Sue Pxxx

Good sunny morning Sue,
Just read your post on my Blog ... Lucky you meeting up with Mrs Duck & Christine they are two fantastic people.
We had an absolute ball when we had dinner with them in Birmingham last November. Hazel, Elaine and I have fantastic memories. We were thinking "not" to go to Birmingham this year but we would miss meeting up with them. It would be worth the expense just have fun time with them.
Hope the sun is shining for you like it is here. Very cold with a thick frost but Hey! Ho! we can cope with a lot when the sun shines.
Have a great day
