A Neighbours Gift

Hi all you wonderful peeps! I would like to thank you all for all the well wishes for 'the hubster' he is now home finally!! I hope this time for a longer period than last time LOL so all my fingers and toes are crossed...I even might get in some crafty time with a bit of luck!!! This card I made for my lovely neighbour Ted he was 76 last week but he really doesn't look it. He asked me if he could take some photo's of Ollie and Woody (was a challenge getting the young un to sit still!) well I was overwhelmed when he called me over the garden fence and gave me this lovely painting of them both ..so thoughtful and kind and it now has pride of place in the living room :))) Paul and I absolutely love it and I had a few tears when Ted gave it to me...it was a lovely surprise

I've been trying to catch up with all your blogs..seems like I've been away for ages !! and thanks to you all I really truly appreciate your kind wishes lots of hugglessssssssssssss Sue xxxxxxxxxxxx

Sue, thanks so much for your time to visit & leave a sweet comment. It's doubly precious, realizing just all that you're dealing with at the moment. Surely praying that DH will be home with you and no return hospital visits anytime soon. Also that he is feeling improved each day, back home with you & the boys! First, I love this sweet image and the way you've done the layout & colors. So darling, and the inspired use of the ivy draped over the stitched circle of the mat. Love the stripe dp, the shining son on this loving duo. TFS the wonderful painting of your sweet boys too. You have a truly gifted & so kind neighbor to do such a wonderful painting for you, and I can understand just exactly how you treasure it. Take care, and hope you can get some rested time as well as some crafty time! TFS & Hugs to all of you. What handsome lads you have in your household.

Sue, your card is absolutely wonderful! Cute image and I love the ivy around it. Loving that wonky looking fun sun too. Just precious and a wonderful birthday card.
Thank goodness your husband is home now! I'm sure he'll recover quick - home does that to a person. Hugs to both of y'all.
The paining is WOW! Yes, I'd have a few tears too. This will be something you'll treasure forever and not only to remember those sweet pups but also your wonderful neighbor!

Super card this morning Sue. But I know you won't take this the wrong way - the portrait of Ollie and Woody knocks it into a cocked hat!!! Just look at the way Woody is gazing up adoringly at his big bro? I would have had the tears too. So glad Paul is home and hope he continues to improve. Big big hugs to you all. Christine xx

Hello Sue, so pleased to hear that Paul is home, and hopefully for a good while. He must be glad to get back to his own home with you and your gorgeous boys.
What a gift to receive, Ted's painting of Ollie and Woody is fabulous, I just love the way he has captured Woody looking up at Ollie in a sort of hero worship look. No wonder you shed a tear or two.

Your card is made with my favourite image of these stamps, and the little scene you've created is gorgeous, love it, hugs to you both Kate x
