Shabby Chic With Sweet Stampin Challenge

Hello all you fabulous peeps! today is our weekly 'just for fun' challenge over at Sweet Stampin
and the theme is 'Shabby Chic' ...hmmm well I've never been too sure about what that is sooooo I've just kind of wingededed it! lol so pop over and join in and see what the rest of our teamies have done!
Well the weather has changed today it's cloudy and miserable and I wanted to get back into the garden ...I've pottered around in it all week doing bits here and there because the old spine won't let me go mad but it's been so lovely to see the birds in and out especially the chubby youngster's ..they have had a wail of a time in the birdbath this week lots coming to have a drink and a wash :))) The hubster was back to see his heart surgeon yesterday morning..so we have to go back next Friday to get the results of all the tests he had...but his new machine seems to be working absolutely great !!! Well I must get bit and bot out for a walk or they will sulk the rest of the day and it looks like rain, so maybe two damp dogs today ..where'sssss the towels!!! Take care everyone and lots of hugglesssss Sue xxxx

I'm glad I am not the only one who doesn't quite understand the shabby chic term!! Lace, flowers, inkyness and pretty papers...looks like you have nailed it!! It's been lovely here today, rain later I think so no wet doggers here today. Sulking must be a spaniel thing, Bowie stands outside the door when we get back from walkkes and won't make eye contact!! xx

Good evening Sue, love your beautiful card. I am not good at "shabby chic" unless I do it in pastel colours. However you seem to have "got" it with what you have used. Really like the sentiment.
Glad to read your hubby is doing good just now.
Have a good weekend

Lovely sentiment and card Sue, a real touch of Vintagia ...beautiful.
The foamiran should work wonders, I have been watching heaps of videos and went to our local Lincraft store and purchased a couple of creating foam sheets, well, it worked well. Beautiful in fact. I have a cheap iron to shape the foam. I will be adding it to a card soon in the next few days...hugs to you.xx ♥[aNNie]

Shabby chic frightens me to death, but what a great card you have made, love the colours and the papers and to be honest the sentiment is so true as I have just flown back from holiday today and you would not believe the clouds and how bright the sky was above them.
Thanks fro your comment while I was away and so sorry that I could not comment on any of your posts as we do not do internet when we go away, a break is a break.

A Fabulous shabby chic card, great details and colours, love the lace and flowers and the little birdcage. It's a shame the rain has to come, but the gardens needed it so much I can put up with a few days LOL. So glad to hear hubby is responding to treatment.
