Crafty Calendar Challenge - 'Love Is In The Air'

Time for our monthly challenge at Crafty Calendar and the theme this month is 'Love Is In The Air'...so come on over and join in and lets see your fabulous creations...I have used a Polkadoodles digital stamp for my card, I think they are gorgeous and there are so many to choose from too.

Well I can't say the weather is nice because all I've had for weeks is a wet dog and a wet owner! it's been atrocious and my heart goes out to all those that were flooded, it's just heartbreaking. Bertie doesn't seem to mind the rain OR the mud ..I've ran out of how many times the washer has been on to wash towels lol. I must apologise if I haven't been round to visit your blogs...my days are usually hard and feeling down and everything seems to be an effort. When 'the hubster' died I got a call from the transplant team which at first seemed really odd because all his organs had failed and I couldn't possibly think what they could want...anyway it was his corneas ...he did carry a card like we both do and he always said if there was anything they could use they could gladly have it. Anyway I gave them permission and this morning I received a beautiful heart brooch and certificate and they informed me that the corneas had gone to two recipients and had saved their eyesight...so floods of tears later, which there have been a lot of...I was so glad they were viable and able to use them.

Anyway take card and lets hope this weather improves..at least I have snowdrops and daffodils in the garden so spring is definitely here. Lots of huggles xxxxxxxxxxx Sue xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Aww Sue, it must have been hard to get that call but how wonderful to think that your lovely hubster has given 2 people such a precious gift- shedding a little tear here too. xxx
Beautiful card and challenge theme- thank you.

Great card Sue, what a fabulous image.
It must have been difficult to get the telephone call, but lovely to hear that two people have had their eyesight saved because of you and Paul.
Take care, Liz xx

That is a very cute card indeed. I’m not surprised you’re finding it difficult, the weather has been awful, and I’ve no idea how you must have felt about the donation, a mixture of emotions I imagine. I hope in time it will bring comfort, and spring is definitely on its way, so that’s something to look forward to. Take care xxx

A sweet card Sue. Wintertime is hard enough and as we've had such wet weather and no sun it's not made it easier. How kind of your late husband to gift his organs for others and to know that two people benefitted must be a comfort. The grieving process is a long one, especially when you have had such a wonderful man by your side. Hang on in there; sending you a virtual hug. WakeyL
