First Christmas Card

I've actually made a start on my Christmas cards and this really cute snowman image you can find HERE. This is a 6x6 card which I've decided I'm making to post because I usually make 8x8 but I'm finding them costly to post so they are going to be for family only LOL ...Oh my goodness I sound like a right scrooge!

We had a lovely time at our daughter's 40 yesterday and although we had a really big downpour on the morning it stayed clear for the party on the afternoon. Lots of lovely things to eat and she made a gorgeous non-alcoholic punch that went down a treat! and her best friend that she met in college made her birthday cake and it was gorgeous. I'm not too sure if she liked the photo's I had scanned and laminated of various times in her childhood and teens hahahaha they were placed all over the garden. Well the thunder and lightning have just started here so I best go and take care of Woody he hates it just as much as fireworks where it doesn't bother Ollie at all he is just chilled. Take care and lots of huggles xxxxxx Sue xxxxxxxx

What a gorgeous snowman Sue the gold and white frame him brilliantly. I know where you are coming from with the cost of postage. One year I didn't post cards and donated the cost of postage to British Heart foundation instead!! Then felt mean because the people I hadn't sent cards to wouldn't know why, so sent them anyway!! Pleased to hear the party went well and the laminated photos made me smile...must remember that for when our boys have significant Birthdays!! xx

Awww, this is a cute Christmas card Sue! I'm so loving this little snowman and his birdie. I will have to check him out. Love the gold mats! Yes, square cards cost us more to mail here in the US too. So I don't mail them unless they fit in a regular envelope. So I will either make a 4 x 4 as it will fit in a A2 envelope height wise. A little long length wise, but better than paying the extra postage. So you aren't a scrooge at all!

Sounds like your daughter's party was so fun! I loved that her college friend made her cake. I also love that you had scanned and laminated photo's of your daughter through her growing up years all over the garden. Cute! We had some storms as well, haven't had one in a long, long time so the dogs were a little nervous with the loud thunder.

Thanks for the get well wishes my sweet friend!
Huggles, Brenda
