Crafty Calendar January Challenge

Hi everyone and apologies for being a tad late! but nasty flu bug hit the household over Christmas and the New Year, my daughter-in-law had it really bad and it's still lingering.
It's time for our first challenge of 2026 over at Crafty Calendar and the theme is 'Anything New' ..I made a Happy New Year card...you can pop over to the challenge blog and join in and see what my teamies have created.
I hope this finds all of you well and if I hadn't had my family around me at this time of year I do believe I would have crawled in a hole and hibernated because it was my birthday in December and of course Christmas and both being without  'the hubster' was really really hard and it continues to be hard but as my brother keeps saying take your time, do everything in your own time. Bertie and myself are going for a stroll to our favourite place and I'll be scattering some of Paul's ashes...I haven't been able to face it yet but it's something I need to do for myself.
Anyhooooo I hope you are all staying snug and warm...we've had quite a lot of snow and Bertie has been romping about in it like a spring chicken LOL. Take care everyone and lots and lots of huggles xxxxxxxxx Sue xxxxxxxxxxxx

Aww Sue- sorry to hear about the flu- hope you're ok and DIL is soon fully recovered- not what you wanted for Christmas.
I'm sure it was a very difficult time for you- but you got through it my friend, listen to your brother's advice he sounds like a very wise man. So glad you have your lovely supportive family and of course Bertie. Wish I could have seen him cavorting in the snow. We've had hardly any here, not enough to cover the ground so Marv hasn't had that fun (but selfishly, I can't say that I'm sorry!)
Your card is beautiful Sue, such a sweet image. I sincerely hope that 2026 is a much kinder year to you than the last one!
Big hugs xxxx
